After Barney and Robin sleep together, they plan on breaking up with their current partners and getting back together. Ted and Marshall go to a concert and search for some nachos for Lily.

- Flowers of Romance: Barney covered Robin's bed with rose petals after he and Nora broke up.
- Funny Background Event: Ted found nachos for Lily in the trash. Later, when she eats one, she pulls a face and puts them back in the trash.
- Grand Romantic Gesture: Barney planned one (rose petals and candles in Robin's bedroom), but she didn't tell Kevin she cheated on him, so they didn't break up.
- Secret Secret-Keeper: When Ted comes home at the end of the episode, he sees Barney cleaning up the romantic rose petals and candles he'd set up in Robin's bedroom. Ted says nothing and goes to his room, Barney having never seen him.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Robin decides not to tell Kevin that she cheated on him.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Barney goes through hell and ruins a good relationship with Nora to get one last chance at Robin. She rejects him, leaving him alone and heartbroken.
