- Children Are Innocent: When Hifumi talks about "embracing our basest urges", Kiki just asks her parents what that means. Present!Makoto and Present!Kyoko just tells her that she'll learn more when she's older.
- Friendly Address Privileges: Junko notes that she's the only one allowed to call Mukuro "Muku".
- Like Parent, Like Child: Junko is a fashionista like her actress mom, while Mukuro is a soldier like her father who's a military tactician.
- Mythology Gag: All of Class 78's introductions are the same as their introductions in DR1's prologue.
