Recap / House S 5 E 23 Under My Skin

Go To

Directed by: David Straiton

Written by: Pamela Davis and Lawrence Kaplow

An orchestra begins playing music as ballet dancers go on stage. Two of the dancers are in a sexual relationship, one of them has been having back problems, and he drops the lead ballerina at a crucial point in the choreography. But she's the one with the more serious and more puzzling medical problem.

Dr. House slept better last night but is still hallucinating Amber (Anne Dudek). Dr. Foreman comes to House's apartment to fetch him for the ballerina's case.

At the hospital, House interrupts Dr. Wilson to tell him he's hallucinating Dr. Kutner. But later on, he admits he's hallucinating Amber, not Kutner. At one point, House hallucinates Amber singing "Enjoy yourself" very sarcastically.

House admits to Dr. Cuddy that he's hallucinating. Cuddy calls the babysitter and takes House home to detox. Cuddy gives House some ginger to ease his nausea. The Amber hallucination urges House to send Cuddy home and take a pill that's lying on the floor. House almost takes the pill but Cuddy flushes it first.

House thinks Cuddy's in his apartment protecting the hospital's most valuable asset. Cuddy says that's not the case and asserts she hasn't lied to him in twenty years.

Thinking House is better, Cuddy gets ready to leave. But before she can leave, they start kissing passionately.

The team continue working on the ballerina's case without House. Dr. Foreman wants to declare the case over, but Dr. Taub insists they must keep going.

Meanwhile, Dr. Chase is very bothered that Dr. Cameron is still hanging on to her dead husband's sperm.
