Dr. House briefs the remaining applicants over the phone. The applicants are no longer wearing their marathon number tags, but Dr. Hadley's still being called "Thirteen."
Dr. Cole gets tired of House teasing him about his religion and punches him in the mouth.
House holds a rose ceremony with peonies like on The Bachelor. He gives flowers to Dr. Cole, Dr. Volakis, Dr. Hadley, Dr. Brennan, Dr. Kuttner and Dr. Taub, leaving out Dr. Dobson, who understand that because he agrees with House on almost everything, he really adds nothing new to the conversation.
Meanwhile Dr. Foreman has left New York Mercy and interviews with Dr. Pilcher (Tom Wright) at some other hospital, but he doesn't get that job. Dr. Cuddy offers Foreman a job at a much higher salary. Foreman's intrigued, but he goes on another interview. Then Foreman shows up at Cuddy's office making demands. But Cuddy has figured out that while Foreman's getting a lot of interviews, he's not getting any offers: he's too tainted by House. So if he wants to return to Princeton-Plainsboro, it will be at his old salary. Foreman agrees.
