It's April Fools Day at the House of Mouse. After Donald makes Mickey slip on some wax, Mickey proceeds to show everyone Donald's embarrassing first screen test, which everyone has a good laugh at. Seizing the opportunity to close down the club, Pete approaches Donald and with his help, pulls a prank to separate Timon and Pumbaa, swapping the latter for a dummy while Donald distracts the former. When Timon discovers the fake Pumbaa, he searches frantically for him and alerts the crew. Unbeknownst to everyone, Pete has taken the real Pumbaa to the roof and stuck him to the air conditioning unit, where he plans to use Pumbaa's potent gas to stink everyone out of the House.
Later, Donald discovers that Mickey plans to make it up to him for the screen test prank by giving him an award. Out of guilt, he decides to stop Pete. He arrives at the roof just as Pete is feeding Pumbaa stink bugs and proceeds to dislodge the latter from the air conditioning unit. Just as Mickey hails Donald as a hero, Pumbaa reveals that he teamed up with Pete to wreck the club, so Mickey takes away the award. But then, when the inevitable is about to happen, Donald takes Pumbaa outside and becomes the victim of Pete's plot as a result. For his scheme to shut down the House of Mouse, Mickey kicks Pete out, where he got a taste of his own... poison.

- Embarrassing Old Photo: Embarrassing old video clip in this case, and it's obvious why Donald finds that first screen test embarrassing.
- Fartillery: This was Pete's plan to shut down the House of Mouse, by using the air conditioning unit to send Pumbaa's infamously potent fart into the club to stink everyone out.
- Laser-Guided Karma: For trying to shut down the House of Mouse, Mickey kicks Pete out of the club, where he got a taste of the results of his plot.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": When Pumbaa's Fartillery begins to kick in and Timon shouts "HE'S GONNA BLOW!!!", several Disney characters run for their lives, including Dumbo with Timothy and the Seven Dwarves.
- Taking the Bullet: Feeling guilty for his participation in Pete's scheme, Donald takes Pumbaa out of the club just as he's about to blow, and falls victim to the warthog's Fartillery.
- You Meddling Kids: After Donald foils the plot, Pete says he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling duck.
