Recap / House Broken S 1 E 11 Whos A Bad Girl Part 2

Go To

Honey leaves with Armando, but once she regrets her decision, things take a turn for the worse.

Tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: Zigzagged. Raccoon and Tchotchke arrive to save Honey and Chief from the coyotes, but the nails Tchotchke throws at them do nothing, so they retreat. Then the Group show up and face the coyotes, and while they can't outfight them, the coyotes are intrigued when they explain how they work out their issues by talking. As the coyotes then start arguing among themselves, the pets escape; that's when Raccoon and Tchotchke swing in from a tree with a Molotov Cocktail, but then see that the pets are gone and quickly cancel the attack.
  • Call-Back: Kevin's ex-girlfriend Dana, who Chico mentioned in "Who's A Good Therapist?". Here we learn not only did Kevin lose his job to try and get her back, but that Chico was originally her cat.
  • Carnivore Confusion: While out with Armando, Honey befriends a rabbit. Moments after that, Armando arrives with a surprise for Honey; the very same rabbit, offered as food. Honey tries to eat him just to please Armando, but can't bring herself to do so, and decides that living out in the wild is not for her. After she leaves, Armando eats the rabbit whole without a second thought.
  • Disney Death: Shel survived being run over in the last episode, with just some bandages on his shell.
  • Lock-and-Load Montage: Tchotchke prepares to go save Honey, arming themself with nails on a bandolier.
  • The Missus and the Ex: Sort of. Upon discovering Honey's affair with Armando, Chief runs away into the forest to vent his frustrations and meets the coyote. However, Chief finds Armando charming and bonds with him better than Honey did, forgetting about the affair entirely.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: During his recap, Raccoon claims to have footage of him bench pressing a dumbbell, but his assistant tells him they don't have footage of that. At the end of the episode, he attempts to do it on camera, but Honey shoos him away.
  • Previously on…: Raccoon gives a small recap of what happened in part 1.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: As the pets work up the courage to cross a busy highway, Max says "I'm not feeling it. Let's just take the pedestrian crossway."
  • Viewers Are Goldfish: Invoked by Raccoon when he assumes the viewers have no memory of what happened last week — much like he does.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Ray Liotta's luau is never brought up in the episode, or whether he still intends to roast Max for it.
