Bayliss and Pembleton catch the case of a man found dead in a car (even though the blood was in the back seat while the body was in the front seat), which leads them to the emergency room where he was treated, and where he got into a scuffle with Sherman (Gabriel Casseus), the attending nurse in the ER. However, Bayliss and Pembleton discover it may have been Dr. Wystan (Mimi Kennedy), the attending doctor in the ER who was responsible. Kellerman and Lewis track down a mentally disturbed man who killed his parents, which brings back uncomfortable memories for Lewis. Munch finds out Howard has a secret lover.
