In France of the year 1789, noble Francois Demarigny reveals to Lady Marie DeValle that he is the Chartreuse Fox, the revolutionary making waves as of late. As they discuss the possibility of turning "peasants into heroes", the two are attacked by inept highway robbers Robert and Jean-Pierre. Seeing an opportunity, Francois attempts to turn the men to his side by inspiring them with tales of the legendary Hercules.

- And the Adventure Continues: The three men, having truly been inspired by their adventure, agree to join Marie in her fight.
- Badass in Distress: Marie ends up captured in the last act. Once freed, she proves herself to live up the reputation of the Chartreuse Fox by defeating the Guard Captain in a fight.

Francois: "Our"; I meant to say "our money"... "our"... - Heel Realization: All the Hercules stories end up striking a chord with Robert to the point that he argues in favor of helping someone who was fighting for the oppressed and giving up being a thief.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Robert (Kevin Sorbo) and Jean-Pierre (Michael Hurst) feel like they've met Croissant (Paul Norell) somewhere before, and he appears to feel similarly towards them.
- Lethal Chef: Croissant is a 1789 Falafel through and through, disgusting Marie with his goods.
- Moment Killer: After being saved from the guillotine, Marie gives Robert kisses on the cheek. It then looks like they're about to have The Big Damn Kiss, but then more guards show up.
- Off with His Head!: Marie ends up nearly being executed by guillotine.
- Oh, Crap!: Robert upon spotting the Chartreuse Fox's calling card on the table.
- Out-Gambitted: Francois, Robert, and Jean-Pierre thought they were taking an unaware rich woman for a ride, but it turns out Marie was the Chartreuse Fox all along and conned them out of their loot.Robert: Outfoxed by the Fox.

- Before the final clip segment, it's revealed that Francois, Robert and Jean-Pierre had planned it all from the start to take advantage of Marie by faking Francois being the Chartreuse Fox.
- When it seems like Marie was taken away by the guards, Robert finds the yellow rose of the Chartreuse Fox left behind, revealing it was her the entire time and having just been playing along to get their money.
- Shout-Out: Some of the names suggested for their new adventuring group include Robin's Hoods, The Powerful Rangers and The Four Muskrats.
