The stones that Hayate and Aika received are now named the ougyoku, or "king's jewels", and there are ostensibly nine of them. Yukariko had one before she died, too. Some backstory is given on Maria's relation to Nagi, namely that she was originally Nagi's private tutor.
After that, Golden Week vacation finally starts. The first character to their vacation is Wataru, who goes to Vegas, where he meets his mother Mikoto, a world-class gambler who knew Nagi's mom. She challenges him to a game of poker over whether he stays with Saki in Japan or her in America.
