Recap / HTF Dino Sore Days

Go To

  • Blowing a Raspberry: Cro-Marmot does this when he escapes the dinosaur that was chasing him by using his own intestines as vines to swing with. His joy is short-lived, as another dinosaur promptly catches him.
  • Confused Question Mark: After Cro-Marmot starts accidentally eating a dinosaur's tail and the dinosaur turns around to glare at him, he gets one of these above his head before he finally figures out what's going in.
  • Decade-Themed Filter: The episode uses a talkie-era filter, since done in the style of the black-and-white cartoons of old.
  • Eaten Alive: Right after escaping the angry dinosaur that was pursuing him by using his intestines as a rope to swing away, Cro-Marmot gets swooped up mid-air by a Ptero Soarer. It then proceeds to chew him up and feed his remains to its chicks.
  • Hand Rubbing: Cro-Marmot does this in anticipation when he comes across a dinosaur carcass that he wants to have for lunch.
  • Hollywood Prehistory: The episode takes place in this setting, with caveman Cro-Marmot looking for lunch and running afoul of angry and/or carnivorous dinosaurs in the process.
  • Inkblot Cartoon Style: Cro-Marmot is redesigned in this style, since the whole episode is a throwback to the black-and-white cartoons of the twenties.
  • Roger Rabbit Effect: The episode begins with a live-action hand drawing Cro-Marmot's cave onto the cartoon background.
  • Terror-dactyl: Just after he escapes the angry dinosaur that was chasing him, Cro-Marmot gets caught by a pterosaur. He's less lucky that time, and the beast chews him up and takes him to its nest to feed him to its babies.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Cro-Marmot dies.
  • Vine Swing: Cro-Marmot uses this to get away from an angry dinosaur, only since there are no conveniently placed vines present, he lassos his own guts around a tree and uses those instead.
  • Visual Pun: Cro-Marmot getting hungry is shown as a lion literally growling in his stomach.
