Cuddles and Giggles are having trouble expressing their love — especially when Lumpy is involved.
"The Carpal Tunnel of Love" provides examples of:
- Accidental Murder: Lumpy commits several.
- He accidentally kills Nutty by throwing the love note he blew his nose with out the window of the bus he's riding. It hits Nutty while he's on his scooter, obscuring his vision and causing him to drive into a truck full of pipes that impale him.
- When he freaks out from stepping on Toothy's eye and runs out of the diner, he slams the door on Toothy himself, crushing him.
- In his panic to drive away from the diner, he slices the Mole in half with Handy's truck's cable.
- After killing the Mole, the truck cable (which is tangled up in a fan) pulls the diner's wall out, which smashes the Fall Out Boy members' heads off.
- While trying to escape from the tow cable that's in the process of ripping his head off, he presses the gas pedal of Handy's truck, which launches a pipe that's stuck under the wheel at Cuddles and Giggles, impaling them through the head.
- Almost Kiss: Just as Cuddles and Giggles are about to kiss at the diner, the Mole puts their ice cream float between them.
- Animated Music Video: For the Fall Out Boy song of the same name.
- Bee Afraid: Cuddles picks some flowers from a bush for Giggles, upsetting a bee that was sitting on the bush. To nobody's surprise, it stings Toothy in the eye. It returns again later in the video, this time to sting Lumpy in the eye.
- The Cameo: The members of Fall Out Boy make brief appearances in this episode.
- Crossover: With Fall Out Boy.
- The Door Slams You: Lumpy does this to Toothy when he runs out of the diner in disgust after stepping on Toothy's popped-out eye. This being Happy Tree Friends, it squashes him.
- "Everybody Dies" Ending: No one survives in this episode (or rather music video).
- Eye Scream: Both Toothy and Lumpy get stung in the eye by a bee.
- Half the Man He Used to Be: The Mole is cut in half vertically by a taut cable being sliced through him.
- I Ate WHAT?!: Toothy's eye, which has been swollen by a bee sting, pops off when he gets a door slammed on it and flies into an ice cream tub. The Mole puts it in Cuddles' and Giggles' ice cream float, which they only realize after they've already taken a sip and subsequently attempt to spit out in disgust.
- New Job as the Plot Demands: The Mole works at a diner in this episode (or rather music video).
- Off with His Head!: Lumpy dies from having his head pulled off by a tow cable after getting his horns tangled up in it.
- Sweetheart Sipping: Cuddles and Giggles try to do this with an ice cream float. Unfortunately, the effect is ruined by the fact that Toothy's eye has gotten into the float.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Nutty, Toothy, the Mole, every single member of Fall Out Boy, Lumpy, Cuddles, and Giggles die in this episode.
- Yawn and Reach: Cuddles tries to pull this on Giggles. Unfortunately, Lumpy chooses that moment to sit down between them, ruining the moment.
