Zerstörer arrives in Portland, with its eyes set on Diana. In an effort to protect her, Nick, along with Renard and Adalind, returns to the scene of his first investigation as a Grimm.
Back at the Spice Shop, Monroe, Eve and Rosalee make a discovery that uncovers the origins of the mysterious stick. However, Zerstörer is one step ahead of the gang.
This episode provides examples of:
- Character Death: Everyone in the precinct, including Hank and Wu, are killed by Zerstörer. Only Nick is left, for reasons that are unclear.
- FlashBack: With Adalind, Renard and Diana taking refuge in the cabin, flashbacks to the "Pilot" and "Face Off" are a given.
- High-Voltage Death: The guy at the gas station who Zerstörer kills for his clothes.
- Homage: Zerstörer's arrival in Portland and subsequent rampage culiminating in an attack on the Portland Police precinct is heavily inspired by The Terminator.
- Immune to Bullets: Zerstörer, as every cop in the precinct learns.
- The Masquerade: Discussed by Hank and Wu.Wu: I don't think a lot could surprise us, after the year we've had.

- Naked on Arrival: Zerstörer. Which is nothing killing the nearest person of his approximate build won't fix.

- Zerstörer's human form is blond, in keeping with the idea that he's The Devil, who is sometimes depicted as blond.
