Juliette and Henrietta contemplate Juliette's power.

Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.

Nick and Hank investigate murders committed by an assassin working for the Wesen Council, resulting in a price being put on Nick's head that puts Juliette in the line of fire.

Elsewhere, Juliette's meeting with Henrietta brings about more disturbing news than she was expecting.

Adalind and Viktor make their way back to Portland.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Assassin Outclassin': Wilde meets the same fate as other assassins who've been sent after Nick, although Juliette deals the death blow using her emerging Hexenbiest powers.
  • Asshole Victim: The Manticore's victims were not nice people; a pair of fake clairvoyants swindling a widow, and a violent pimp who uses his woge face to scare his girls.
  • Badass Boast: Nick continues his tradition of taunting people who send assassins after him by using Wilde's own kill confirmation system to send a photo of Wilde's body to the Wesen Council.
  • Bounty Hunter: The Monster of the Week is a Wesen bounty hunter, going after Wesen who have had hits put out on them by the Council.
  • Damsel out of Distress: Juliette uses her new Hexenbiest powers to kill the Manticore, leading her to the idea that the change might be for the better.
  • Dramatic Irony: Wilde doesn't woge when arrested, meaning the gang can't be sure he really is a Manticore or the murderer. Wu comments that he has no reason not to woge, as he doesn't know Nick is a Grimm. The audience, however, already saw him receive the kill order for Nick, which warns that he's a Grimm.
  • Killed to Uphold the Masquerade: Jonathon Wilde is a Manticore bounty hunter who kills Wesen who risk exposure for profit.
  • Meaningful Name: Maréchaussée is the name of the Dutch military police.
  • Mind over Matter: Juliette beats the Manticore using telekinesis to stab him with his own stinger.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Monroe and Rosalee have a bad feeling when their fact-finding call to the Council is met with stonewalling and an order to stay out of Council business, especially when it comes to Nick. Sure enough, the next thing we know, a bounty has been put on Nick.
    • Juliette is devastated when Henrietta tells her that her transformation into a Hexenbiest can't be reversed. She starts to come around after using her new powers to kill Wilde.
  • Price on Their Head: The Wesen Council puts a bounty of €100,000 on Nick. His is the highest bounty by far and features the one-word explanation, "Grimm".
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Despite how reasonable Nick has been in his previous dealings with the Wesen Council, they decide to put out a hit on him for interfering. De Groot and Alexander, who have actually dealt with him, think they're making a mistake. They're right.
