Reflections for a White Clover

In the past, Sevilbarra and his sister had a demon blade that was passed down from generation to generation until the latter's murder. Now, the Harvin samurai is travelling along with the crew searching for vengeance. Luck has gotten to his way when the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights got a hold of the murderer's background and potential whereabouts.

At the same, another party that is heavily affected by the murder makes their move.

Tropes

  • Bad Boss: Corwell's lackeys are rightfully paranoid about their boss's sanity losing its grip, which is further compounded when he kills two of them for speaking up.
  • Create Your Own Villain: Corwell's path to darkness is stemmed from the Lumiel Order aggressively pushing their "forever pure, forever righteous" motto onto their members' relatives.
  • Flower Motifs: While the white clover is often represented as a symbol of good fortune, there's one additional meaning which Sevilbarra points out at the end of the event, revenge.
  • Generation Xerox: After being expelled from the Lumiel Order, Corwell develops an unhealthy interest in cursed swords like his grandfather.
  • Sequel Hook: The event ends with Krelkulkil running away with Sevilbarra's cursed family treasure and the crew still spending time to track him down.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: Corwell himself had a clean record during his time with the Lumiel Order. The reason he got expelled is due to his grandfather's crime of possessing a demonic blade during the time the order was aggressively pushing their motto.
  • Vengeance Denied: Subverted. While the crew's efforts in subduing Corwell prevents Krelkulkil from getting his part in the bounty, he takes the next best thing in the form of offing the man himself.
