Doraemon: Nobita's Skyfaring Boat

As Nobita gets bummed out being left behind due to Suneo's yacht not having enough people, Doraemon unveils another invention for him to try out, the "What If? Box!". Just before he wishes for a world where boats can fly freely in the skies, Nobita realizes the implications behind his wish and asks Shizuka out, with Gian and Suneo tagging along once they got word about it.

With the wish granted, the party gets sucked away from Nobita's room and into the Sky Realm. While out having fun with the new world, Nobita encounters a monster and ultimately gets saved by the crew of the Grandcypher.

Tropes

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Subverted. The reason why Nobita wanted a world where ships can fly is mainly because he wanted show off his dream boat in comparison to Suneo's yacht. Before making the wish, he realizes that his dream boat wouldn't be as special because flying ships would be the norm there, so he readjusts his motive to simply showing off a new world to the rest of the gang.
  • Brown Note: Gian's singing is horrible to the point that the only person that can tolerate it is Kolulu, and she even has to harden her ears to do it. This gets weaponized when the gang sneaks on to the hijacked Dorancypher and disorients the bandits on there.
  • Crossover: With Doraemon.
  • Delicious Distraction: Vyrn is temporarily ignored about the Unturned Stone Cap stuck on his head due to the rest of the cast being interested in the food and how they even make it.
  • Didn't Think This Through: While the gang sneaks in to retrieve the missing gadgets back from Cagliostro, they encounter a mountain of fruit and decided to snack on it. They hoped no issues would occur with the Time Kerchief, only for them to realize too late that it's one of the few stolen gadgets.
  • Evil Costume Switch: The Dorancypher's normal look resembles like a dolphin and uses a light blue color. When the bandits hijack it, the Dorancypher resembles more like a shark and uses a darker blue color.
  • Honest Axe: At one point, Lamretta falls into the Woodcutter's Pond with Rackam being asked about if the Beautiful Lamretta is their's. While Rackam answered truthfully and received her, he still dove into the pond searching for her, leading to another instance of this trope with him.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: In the latter half of the event, the gang finds themselves cornered by bandits due to Doraemon's own gadgets effectively giving them free reign.
  • Instant Expert: With the Thinking Cap and the Roboglove, Doraemon quickly converts the remains of a broken airship to their own Dorancypher.
  • My Name Is ???: Vyrn is first presented as ??? and is only given his actual name once the five rendezvous with the rest of the crew.
  • Out-of-Character Alert:
    • Just before Gian's attempted recital, Rackam suspiciously speaks eloquently and Lamretta suspiciously speaks coherently, leading to Doraemon correctly guessing that the two fell into the Woodcutter's Pond he lent to them.
    • Suneo is suspiciously defensive when Doraemon notices he's missing a few of his gadgets like the Gourmet Tablecloth. Usage of the TV Time showed that he was colluding with Cagliostro on stealing the gadgets in return for info about the best spots of the Sky Realm.
  • Simple Solution Won't Work: After realizing how the Anywhere Door could get to anywhere, Vyrn suggests trying to use it to get to Estalucia. This attempt only lead to the seas of Auguste, as one of the few things the crew finds swept up is the Bonito.
