A Ballad of Unbending Chivalry

After another failed assassination attempt on Yuisis, the boss of the Eligoth Knights, Arrogante, decides that they have no choice but to dirty their own hands and orders Elea to off both the Captain and Yuisis.

The failed assassination attempt still weighed down Yuisis either way due to losing against Elea again, causing her to push herself harder to have a better shot against Arrogante. During training, a letter arrives from her cousin, and the two eventually meet up detailing the current events surrounding the former Ditoria Knights.

Tropes

  • Combat Pragmatist: As much of the story is based around the idea about the concept of chivalry and honor being outdated, you come across multiple characters that are like this. This character trait alone is also used a strong reason why Arrogante and Elsine are considered unfit to lead the Ditoria Knights.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: This is the main reason Arrogante wanted revenge against Yuisis's parents, being spared dealt a big blow to his pride as a mafioso.
  • Magnetic Hero:
    • Exploited in the first half of the ending. The fight is vicious enough that the Crew of Enforcers took notice. Elea later brought them up to speed about the events and their connection with the Captain; it didn't take long for them to decide to arrest the Eligoth Knights.
    • Discussed in the second half of the ending. When considering about rebuilding the Ditoria Knights, Yuisis suggests creating an alliance with the Captain due to their various amount of connections, no matter if they're royal or shady.
  • Revenge by Proxy: Arrogante wanted revenge on Yuisis's parents, but they died before he was even given a chance to do so, settling on Yuisis herself as an alternative.
  • Start My Own: Elsine and the Luceria Knights broke off from the Eligoth Knights, knowing that they were only being used as pawns by Arrogante under their wing.
  • Stealth Mentor: Elea only joined the Eligoth Knights to find the best chance to assassinate Arrogante. Naturally, this trope stops coming into play once her cover is blown and goes for a more straightforward mentorship from then on.
  • Villainous Rescue: Because Arrogante wanted to kill Yuisis under his own terms, he stops Elsine from finishing her off, stating that Yuisis's chivalry makes her the best at leading the Ditoria Knights.
