A big investor backs out of Sam and Jay's restaurant, leaving them to turn to the one ghost who has money - Isaac.

Tropes:

  • Betrayal by Inaction: Trevor easily increased the amount of Isaac's money in a short time. Why did he never do this for Sam and Jay? He knows they're always strapped for cash and could really use the extra money.
  • Call-Back: The fact that Trevor's body was fished out of the lake and the face palming incident in "The Liquor License" are mentioned.
  • Dramatic Irony: Thorfinn mentions that it's sad that Flower had moved on. However, the ending of the last episode reveals that she is actually stuck in a well.
  • Fake Relationship: Pete claims that he has a girlfriend to avoid looking bad in front of Carol, but claims that she's not around right now. Nancy, who pretended to be Pete's girlfriend once before, didn't feel like doing it again, leaving Pete in the lurch. Just as it looks like he'll be found out, Alberta steps up and claims to be the girlfriend. Things get complicated when Nancy has second thoughts and pretends to be his girlfriend as well. Pete claims that he's cheating on Alberta with Nancy to cover it up, but soon he gets too frustrated by the ridiculousness of the lie and at Carol trying to help him cheat while keeping her infidelity a secret that he decides he doesn't care if the truth makes him look like a loser and tells Carol the truth while ripping her a new one.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Inverted. Frustrated by Isaac's on-again, off-again offer of his money and how it is used, Jay begins to openly insult him, knowing full well that Isaac is there and can hear everything he says.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: Alberta looks completely star-struck when Pete takes out his arrow unintentionally seductively.
  • On the Money: Mark tells Jay and Sam that he needs $10,000 to keep the restaurant project going, after an investor drops out. Isaac just happens to have that amount of money from his share of Sam's book deal.
  • Running Gag: Inverted. Before now, Trevor hasn't shown the best judgement in his investing choices. This time, he invests Isaac's money with a brokerage firm, and quickly turns Isaac's $10,000 into $187,000!
  • So Proud of You: Alberta basically says this word to word to Pete when he stands up for himself to Carol and tells her off for being a horrible wife when he was faithful to her even years after he died.
  • Shed the Family Name: When Jay is stating facts about Isaac, it’s revealed that his surname was originally Higginbottom but his parents changed it due to some outstanding bank debts.
    Sasappis: And they chose Higgintoots?
  • Vengeful Ghost: After Jay repeatedly insults Isaac over the conditions that need to be met for the use of his money, Isaac retaliates by walking through Jay, making Jay endure the resulting stench.
