Next-Door Nuisance

After getting fed up with Garfield's food theft, Jon's neighbor Mr.Burnside decides to move out. Larry Lark moves in, and starts blasting his song "Keep On Singing". Annoyed, Garfield sends Jon to stop it but Larry gets him to join in and sing with him. This displeases Garfield, so he decide to send Odie in. That fails too, so Garfield calls the cops to stop it. Unfortunately, everyone that Garfield calls ends up singing with Larry.

Garfield decides to find Jon's original neighbor. Meanwhile, Burnside and his wife realize that by not having Garfield around, they're becoming fatter. Luckily, Garfield bumps into them and begs them to come back, promising he'll steal their food. As they move back in and chase Larry and his choir out, Burnside is happy to return to his house. When his wife asks how are they're going to stop Garfield from stealing all the food, Burnside starts singing his own version of "Keep on Singing", and Garfield runs off in agony.

  • We Want Our Jerk Back!: Garfield and the Burnsides both fall into this trope regarding each other. Garfield causes the Burnsides to move away when he steals their barbecue. Mr. Lark moves in and annoys Garfield with his singing. Whenever Garfield calls someone to stop the singing, they end up singing along with Mr. Lark. Garfield goes to the Burnsides' new house to return their barbecue. Meanwhile, the Burnsides have gained weight as a result of Garfield not being around to steal their food, and they decide to move back to their old house so Garfield can help them keep their weight down.
