"The Last Dance" is an episode in the seventh season of Full House.
Papouli Kastopolis, Jesse's beloved grandfather from Greece, comes to San Francisco to visit the Tanners. During the visit, he dies in his sleep of natural causes, stunning the family.

- Bittersweet Ending: The episode ends this way. On one hand, Papouli Kastopolis is dead and not coming back to life. On the other hand, Jesse and Michelle help each other to get through their Five Stages of Grief. In the meanwhile, D.J. and Kimmy, who had an argument over sunglasses that both of them want, early in the episode, reconcile over Papouli Kastopolis's passing and agree never to fight over something so trivial as sunglasses again.
- Exact Words: When D.J. and Kimmy have an argument early in the episode, D.J. accuses Kimmy of getting her hands on everything D.J. has her eyes on, with the sunglasses being the latest example, to which Kimmy brings up Steve as the exception in her retort.D.J.: You always do this! Everything I want, you'd have to have it, too!
Kimmy: Hey, I leave Steve alone!
Steve: [gagging on a mouthful of apple he's eating] And don't think I'm not grateful for that. - Five Stages of Grief: Jesse and Michelle both have this, and are stuck in denial and anger at Papouli's sudden passing. They have to lean on each other to get through the stages as they mourn his death.
- Mood Whiplash: A huge one, from a lighthearted scene of Papouli making a mess in the kitchen and another of Papouli teaching Michelle a Greek dance for school, to the family mourning his death. The incidental music between the scenes changes from upbeat and poppy to sad as well.
- Passed in Their Sleep: The fate of Papouli Kastopolis, of natural causes.
- Shout-Out: When Kimmy sees the family's new boat and Danny and Joey in sailing hats she says, "Hey Beavis and Boathead".
- Story Arc: The follow-up episode, "Kissing Cousins," has Jesse taking Papouli's corpse back to Greece and attend his funeral, before returning home to share his experiences and bring along his identical cousin, Stavros.
- Tempting Fate: In a sense. D.J. describes the shape of the designer sunglasses she wanted to buy but didn't get to, just as Kimmy enters the house, having already bought them, prompting Stephanie to finish the description for D.J.
