- Early-Installment Weirdness: Lampshaded. As Monica stresses about what to write, Rachel suggests writing about how a part of her always knew that she and Chandler would be more than friends. A clip from "The One with the Jellyfish" sees Monica be quite flippant at the idea of dating Chandler even if the apocalypse killed every other man on the planet, essentially acknowledging how one of the show's most fundamental relationships wasn't a factor for almost half the show's run.Monica: Are we allowed to lie in the vows?
- No Sense of Humor: Monica says she has no sense of humor when it comes to the approaching wedding in reply to Chandler joking about it.
- Nothing Is the Same Anymore: The friends discuss the possibility of Monica and Chandler drifting away from the group after marrying. This agitates Joey, who laments how everything seems to be changing and he'd like things to stay the way they are.
- Plagiarism in Fiction: During the end credits, Chandler takes Monica's vows as his own and just switches the names around. Ross protests this, but Joey says Chandler get away with it if he goes first.
- Secret Relationship: While the others say it feels like the wedding is happening very fast, Ross points out how Chandler and Monica kept their relationship under wraps for months. A montage of clips show the couple sneaking around and the truth slowly coming out.
