Chandler explained everything when apologizing to Janice, who ended up accidentally blurting it out to Rachel, who in turn had an (off-screen) argument with Ross about it. During the end credits, an irritated Ross smacks Chandler with a magazine for failing to remember that women talk about the things their boyfriends say.
- Continuity Nod: Joey mentions that he donated to the sperm bank after finishing the sex study he was participating in during the first season finale.
- Dumbass Has a Point: Joey twice over. He suggests Phoebe follow Malcolm around to see what he does, which Monica concedes is what she'd do in Phoebe's place rather than just trust him unconditionally. Later, he talks to Monica about how he always pictured her ending up in the suburbs with a husband and a few kids, which makes Monica reconsider rushing into having a baby right now.Monica: I think, that if you really like this guy, you should just trust him.

- Stalker with a Crush: Malcolm is following Phoebe around because he mistook her for Ursula. Phoebe ends up falling for him and (thinking he's still stalking Ursula) starts following him around. Since Malcolm can't get over Ursula, Phoebe ends the relationship and helps him get over her sister.
- Take a Third Option: Chandler holds up his hands to demonstrate to Joey to separate options.Chandler: Hey, Joe, I gotta ask. The girl from the Xerox place buck naked... or, or a big tub of jam.
