Tropes

  • Adam Westing: Jean-Claude Van Damme is doing a downplayed version, playing himself as something of a Handsome Lech.
  • Actor Allusion: Marcel is appearing in a sequel to Outbreak. Katie, who played Marcel, was the actual monkey in that film.
  • As Himself: Jean-Claude Van Damme.
  • Cat Fight: Rachel and Monica's argument over Jean-Claude leads to them getting into a slap fight. Phoebe breaks it up by grabbing them both by the ears and demanding they make up.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: Chandler is left in the men's room wearing nothing but pink panties.
  • Hand-or-Object Underwear: Chandler breaks the door off the toilet cubicle and uses it to cover himself as he walks out of the restaurant.
  • Playing a Tree: Joey gets cast as a dying victim in the movie, but keeps adlibbing, until the director gets tired and his character is rewritten as already dead.
  • Prank Date: Susie only went out with Chandler to humiliate him for calling her "Susie Underpants" in school. She tells him to change into pink panties because she finds it sexy, and while he does, she steals his clothes.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Phoebe gets one before diving in to break up Rachel and Monica's Cat Fight.
Phoebe: Okay, now I'm going to kick some ass!
  • She Is All Grown Up: Susie Moss, a girl Chandler used to make fun of in school, is now drop-dead gorgeous (as played by Julia Roberts).
Susie: I'm Susie Moss. Fourth grade, glasses, I used to carry around a box of animal crackers like a purse.
Chandler: Susie Moss, right, yeah, wow, you look... great job growing up.
  • Wimp Fight: Neither Rachel nor Monica are particularly skilled at fighting so their fight mostly involves slapping and "flicking" each other on the forehead.
