Rachel gets ready to leave for Paris, and Ross rushes to tell her how he feels. Joey reveals he bought Chandler and Monica a baby Chick and baby Duck as a housewarming present, but the birds get stuck inside his foosball table.
- Ask a Stupid Question...: In the final scene, Rachel asks if they can get one last cup of coffee. Chandler sarcastically asks where they should go.
- Big Damn Kiss: Ross and Rachel after she gets off the plane.
- Bookends: The finale of the show's first season had Rachel trying to stop Ross from getting on a plane and leaving. Now the series finale features Ross trying to stop Rachel from leaving on a plane.
- Cutting the Knot: Ross isn't allowed to get on without a boarding pass, Ross pleads with the gate agent to let him talk to Rachel, Phoebe just screams her name at the top of her lungs.
- Drives Like Crazy: Phoebe does this to get Ross to the airport in time. Her driving gets even worse when they have to get to Newark instead.Phoebe: Well, I've never gone this fast before!
- Dude, Not Funny!: After Ross and Rachel get back together for good, he jokes "unless we're on a break". Cue Rachel's Death Glare to him after that joke.
- "Friends" Rent Control: Chandler lampshades it just before leaving the big apartment.Chandler: ...and because of rent control it was a friggin' steal!
- Long Last Look: The whole gang takes a final look around Monica's apartment before they leave it for the last time.
- Love Revelation Epiphany: Much like Ross in the previous part, as Rachel leaves her final message for him she realises that she does love him, and accepts that she can't leave for Paris.
- Man Hug: Chandler and Joey's last scene together ends with them agreeing that Chandler will come and visit Joey whenever they want. Chandler asks if Joey would prefer "awkward hug or lame, cool-guy handshake". Joey initially chooses the handshake, but once it's done they pull each other into a hug.
- Noodle Incident: Ross points out that he's the only one who never actually lived in Monica's apartment. Monica mentions that summer where he lived with their grandmother and tried to make it as a dancer.Ross: Do you realise we almost made it ten years without that coming up?
- Although this was briefly alluded to in The One In Vegas: Part 2.
- One Last Field Trip: Once Monica's apartment is completely empty, the six decide to go to Central Perk for one last cup of coffee.
- Race for Your Love: Ross gets driven to the airport by Phoebe, and it's nearly derailed by them going to the wrong airport.
- Say My Name: As Rachel heads down the jetway, Phoebe screams her name to get her attention.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: All the passengers get off when they think there is something wrong with the "left phalange."
- Wham Line:
- Unable to find Rachel's flight on the boards, Ross calls Monica to check the flight number. She then reveals that the flight is out of Newark, while Ross and Phoebe are at JFK.
- When Ross screams at the phone recording desperately asking if Rachel got off the plane.Rachel (standing right behind Ross): I got off the plane.
- Your Princess Is in Another Castle!: It looks like Ross has made it in time to stop Rachel leaving...and then Monica tells him he's at the wrong airport.
