• Coming-Out Story: Having bonded while living under the same roof, Nicole decides to confess to Eddie (before either of her parents) that she's a lesbian. Eddie's reaction is subdued at first, and Nicole briefly regrets telling him, but then he shows a genuine interest and asks questions about if she "turned" lesbian and if this will change her fashion choices.
• Game Show Appearance: Honey wins a chance to appear on a "Best Friends" episode of Wheel of Fortune, and invites Jessica as her friend. Jessica reveals it's been a dream of hers to be on that show and starts forcing Honey through test after test to study, followed by trying to take the spotlight on-air despite being Honey's guest, leading to Honey breaking down on-air.
• Overly Long Name: In The Tag, Michael Bolton, who bought ownership of Cattleman's Ranch towards the end of the last season to compete with Kenny Rogers, gets bought out by...Kenny Rogers, and Louis is aghast that his business is now named "Kenny Roger's Michael Bolton's Cattleman's Ranch".
• The Thing That Would Not Leave: Honey and Marvin offer to take in the Huangs while they're trying to regain their house after losing it in the last season finale, but they're not the best houseguests. In particular, when Honey breaks down during Wheel of Fortune, she points out how she and Marvin were never even thanked once for letting the Huangs stay with them.
• Unmanly Secret: While staying with Marvin and Honey, Evan tries his hardest to avoid publicly reading their copies of The Baby-Sitters Club. The secret's out at the end, when the Huangs get their house back and a bunch of books fall out of his luggage.
