Recap / Frasier S 11 E 13 The Ann Who Came To Dinner

Go To

Ann Hodges grudgingly agrees to assess Frasier's apartment for a home insurance quote; but when she falls and breaks her leg, Frasier is afraid she will sue. Maris allows Niles to recover some of his possessions from her mansion, which turns out to be part of her plan to escape the law.

Tropes:

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Frasier near the end does this when Ann tries to sue him out of spite when Frasier has had enough of her demanding behavior. This causes her to decide to forget the lawsuit.
  • Put on a Bus: Maris escapes the country to avoid her trial, making this her last "appearance" in the series.
  • Run for the Border: Having decided she won't get a fair trial over the murder of her lover, Maris decides to escape to her family's private island where she'll be immune to extradition. She and Marta plant her GPS tracking anklet on Niles, and while the police are following him Maris sneaks out of the mansion. The note she leaves for the Cranes mentions that an uncle of hers did the same thing, which is where she got the idea from.
