Frasier and his friends and family take a cruise that soon leads up to Niles trying to reconcile with Maris.

- Hypocrite: Martin lampshades his own hypocrisy for telling Frasier not to meddle in other people's lives, and then turning around and inviting Maris on the cruise.
- Lounge Lizard: The Barracuda, a sleazy singer booked on the cruise who apparently picks one woman in the audience of each show to be his "special lady" for the night by giving her a rose.
- Skewed Priorities: While trying to help Niles and Maris reconcile, Frasier is repeatedly taken aback at how prestigious the suite Maris has on the ship is, even noting that the bathroom is bigger than his whole cabin.
- Strange Minds Think Alike: Both Frasier and Martin asked Maris to come on the cruise to reconcile with Niles.
