Frasier is inspired to try and bond with Martin by going on a road trip, but after realizing they likely won't be able to stand it alone they drag Niles and Daphne along. Things take a bad turn, however, when they drive across the Canadian border and realize they need to sneak Daphne back into the country since she doesn't have a green card.
Examples:
- Brits Love Tea: While trying to practice passing herself off as American, Daphne declares she needs a cup of tea to soothe her nerves.Frasier: TEA?! Why don't you just wave a crumpet over your head and sing "God Save The Queen"?!
- Confess to a Lesser Crime: After the other's nervousness nearly exposes them, Martin misdirects the border guard by claiming they didn't have a rabies certificate for Eddie, and then claims they didn't pick him up in Canada by showing him a picture of Eddie in Seattle (which also gives him a chance to flash his badge).
- The Gadfly: After they make it back to the States, the Cranes just try and head home. However, with Niles and Daphne napping, Frasier and Martin decide to salvage the trip by heading to Yellowstone. Martin then suggests telling the other two when they wake up that he drove them to Mexico.
- Generation Xerox: Both Frasier and Martin give unnecessary directions when it comes time to hit an exit, which Frasier bemoans as genetic.
- Oh, Crap!: Daphne's reaction after the others tell her they drove into Canada while she was napping, since she still doesn't have her green card and she can't leave the country until she does.
- P.O.V. Cam: The Tag is seen from the handheld video recorder that Niles is using.
- Saying Too Much: Frasier just keeps babbling while the guard is talking to them. In this case, none of what he's saying is actually important, but Martin had just warned them that people who have something to hide always talk too much, so he looks suspicious.
- The Tag: Niles films a sleeping Daphne, only for her to wake up and get creeped out, when a furious Frasier confronts him.
