"Got a towel?"
Uncle Traveling Matt returns home once again but embarrasses himself in front of Gobo and the others, panicking over "face erasers" and hiding under the table. He denies this ever happened, infuriating Gobo. The two have a fight and Matt leaves in a huff. After a talk with Wembley, Gobo goes after Matt and tries to work things out. He and Matt then discover a network of tunnels leading to various parts of Outer Space. Matt names the entrance cave "The T. Matthew Fraggle Room" and comes to realize that it's okay to admit your fears.

- Accidental Discovery: Matt accidentally discovers the entrance to the T. Matthew Fraggle Room when his arm hits a figure of a Fraggle, causing it to rotate and open a trapdoor leading to a cavern below.

- Color Blind Confusion: While getting ready to repaint the gnomes, Doc asks Sprocket for a can of flesh-tone paint. When he uses the paint Sprocket gives him on a gnome's face, it turns out to be purple. Doc gets annoyed with Sprocket at first, then apologizes for forgetting that dogs are color blind. He then decides to paint another gnome's face green, another's orange, and so on.
- Continuity Nod: The rotating figure that opens the trapdoor bears a striking resemblance to a dummy seen in "Playing Till It Hurts."
- Face Stealer: Matt thought Doc was doing this. The latter was actually whitening garden gnomes.
- Forgot to Mind Their Head: This time, it's Matt who bumps his head on a pipe.
- Home Sweet Home: Zigzagged. Uncle Matt comes back to live at Fraggle Rock but is glad to have discovered the T. Matthew Fraggle Room for quick access to Outer Space and back when he feels like having an adventure there.
- Instant Bandages: This happens to Matt when he falls down peeking through Doc's window.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: Gobo's bragging about his uncle's courage is interrupted by Matt running in and screaming for help.Gobo: Why, in all the history of the Rock, there's never been anyone braver or more fearless than...
Uncle Matt: [running in] Help, help, help, help! Help, help, help! Oh, help, help, help, please! They're trying to erase my face! [Ducks under the table.] - Jerkass Ball: Red takes this, repeatedly mocking Matt about his panicking.
- Mistaken Identity: Doc mistakes Matt for one of the garden gnomes, which Matt mistakes for a sentient being.
- Side-by-Side Demonstration: The song "I Don't Understand Him" features this.Uncle Matt: He beats me and bites me—
