Eduardo finds a puppy and tries to hide him due to Mr. Herriman's rule against dogs in the house.

Tropes:

  • Cuteness Proximity: Most of the friends lose it when they see how cute the puppies are.
  • Friendly Tickle Torture: While the gang is playing with the puppies in their room, at one point, Mac is swarmed by them, which briefly leads into this trope. He does not seem upset.
  • Jerkass: Bloo, full stop. He quickly becomes jealous of the puppies, and decides to expose them to Herriman so they'll be gotten rid of. Mac is understandably angry when he finds out upon seeing the puppies at Herriman's emergency meeting.
    Mac: How did this happen?
    Bloo: (grinning evilly) Oopsie!
    Mac: (glaring at him) Bloo!
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: However, he has a change of heart when the puppies are revealed to be imaginary, and the one that talks says he "always wuved him best".
  • Licked by the Dog: Literally. Happens to just about everyone at some point in the episode.
  • Madness Mantra: "A dog is not in the house presently" starts to become one when Mr. Herriman sees puppy paw prints and a bloody bone (ketchup on the paws and the bone) as his voice rises higher and higher.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: The puppies.
  • Time Travel: Bloo's end goal in the episode is to build a time machine.
  • Wham Line: When Animal Control arrives to take the puppies, Bloo spends the whole time Evil Gloating over it, particularly towards the one particular puppy Mac asked him to name. But then the puppy speaks, revealing that he, along with the others, are actually imaginary.
Puppy: Goodbye, Bloo. I'll miss you!
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Mr. Herriman's reason for the No Dogs rule is he's afraid of them.
  • You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: Mr. Herriman calls Frankie by her name instead of "Miss Frances" for the first time, and it's when he's scared out of his mind.
