Original Air Date: October 12, 2019

The second bout of the Régiment de Cuisine is starting, with Subaru vs. Soumei, Megishima vs. Rindou, and Kuga vs. Tsukasa.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Exotic Entree: Rindou's dish has as its main ingredient a small alligator in the same way Hisako used a turtle.
  • Flash Back: It's revealed that Megishima had to be persuaded to join the rebels. Despite sharing the same goal to save small restaurants in Japan from Central's elitist ways, he refuses to fight alongside them because he doesn't like cooking competitions. Soma only gets him to collaborate after being defeated A LOT but never gave up despite falling exhausted.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: When Rindou is about to butcher the alligator, the camera switches to the reactions of the other characters, and in the following shot, the alligator is already skinned, cleaned, and ready to use.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The minute Urara start berating the rebels again, the alligator breaks free and starts chasing her. Rindo simply grabs it.
  • Male Gaze: There are a lot of shots of Megumi (and the other people in the background) completely naked while having the foodgasm during Soma and Megishima's duels.
  • Nubile Savage: Rindou is depicted in the Imagine Spot as a barbarian hunter with a skimpy Fur Bikini and a machete.
  • The Reveal: After a lot of speculation and having a win off-screen, it's revealed that Megishima's expertise lies in ramen.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Soma gets excited at Rindou's background and wants to have a talk with her and Nao about rare meats.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Soma couldn't defeat Megishima, who is still in a 3rd Seat. He only agrees to fight on the rebel side because Megishima got bored with the duels, and Soma refuses to give up.
  • Walking the Earth: Rindou uses her position as the Second Seat to travel to different countries, and learn about exotic ingredients and how to use them. It's seen that she has been to Antarctica, Africa, The Amazonas, and so on.
