A scientist is brutally murdered by his teenage daughter, who has no memory of the event at all. Investigating, Foster uncovers a GUA experiment that could change everything for the worse for the human race.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: Jordan appears to shoot Cade rather than let him, and the bodysurfing technology, be taken by the Gua. However, it was a tranq dart, and she and Eddie figure out a way to remove the Gua from him. It involves a defibrillator.
- Grand Theft Me: What the Gua technology does: allows a Gua consciousness jump from person to person. This would obviously be a disaster for humanity as it would be impossible to identify Gua operatives. Cade is possessed near the end, but is rescued by Jordan shooting him with a tranq dart.
- Leitmotif: The Gua operative jumping from body to body tends to whistle London Bridge is Falling Down.
