An astronomer friend of Eddie witnesses a unique celestial event, he pays for it with his life but not before contacting Eddie first. Pictures were sent to a Senator, Foster seeks out the senator and finds more than he bargained for.
Tropes:
- Casual Kink: The Senator is a Gua agent with a taste for BDSM, as show by one scene where he gets a whip-totting Dominatrix to harshly whip him. It doesn't go over well with the Gua and he's killed.
- Danger Takes a Backseat: When Cade is nearly captured at the Senator's office, he escapes by hiding in Samantha's car and kidnapping her and Franklin.
- Failed a Spot Check: The Gua who killed Eddie's friend Vincente didn't think to check his outgoing mail for evidence. This leads to an envelope full of evidence being sent to a Senator... who is actually a Gua agent.
- MacGuffin: An envelope of photos and charts detailing a meteor coming out of a wormhole, assembled by Eddie's astronomer friend Vincente right before his death. It actually shows an incoming shipment of Gua consciousnesses.
- Punk in the Trunk: Cade forces Samantha and Franklin into the trunk of her car when he kidnaps them.
- Skewed Priorities: Samantha writes her article, but the newspaper is far more interested in the scandal involving a Senator and a dominatrix than in an unsubstantiated story about aliens.
