Tropes:

  • Alternate Self: Illya, Chloe, and Miyu are shocked when they meet Caren, initially mistaking her for their school nurse back home. Likewise, Erice knew Caren as her teacher in Mosaic City.
  • Assimilation Backfire: The Bitter Spirits try to possess a pissed off Medea, but as she's a mage from the Age of Gods, it doesn't take. Instead, she uses their magical energy to power herself up and vent her frustrations by firing off Noble Phantasms willy-nilly. This translates as her getting a free 100% NP charge at the end of each turn for the ensuing battle.
  • Brick Joke: About halfway through the plot, Jason gives the protagonist his collection of Heracles memorabilia while under the influence of God Love. During the epilogue, da Vinci comments that Jason is going nuts trying to figure out where his collection has gone.
  • Clipped-Wing Angel: God Caren has the pooled magical energy of all three of her components, but with only one body to output it and no actual increase to said body's ability to channel it, her performance isn't much better off.
  • Fusion Dance: God Caren, formed when Caren, Amor, and Eros fuse together.
  • Goo-Goo-Godlike: Caren's final boss form, Super Baby Cawen.
  • The Heartless: The Bitter Shadows are the manifested negative emotions of Servants who eat the God Love chocolates.
  • Jumping the Shark: Cú Chulainn calls the trope out by name when Super Baby Cawen appears.
  • Love Is in the Air: Chaldea's Servants are suddenly much happier and friendlier than usual, to the point where Edison and Tesla are behaving like old chums and Jason gives the protagonist his treasured collection of Heracles memorabilia. It's all thanks to Caren's God Love chocolates, which amplify happiness and purge negative emotions.
  • Medium Awareness: When a newly powered up Devil Caren introduces herself as Super God Caren, Cú Chulainn, Kid Gil, and Mash all protest that that's not what the name on her text box says.
  • Obviously Evil: Kid Gil remarks that aside from turning into a baby, nothing about Caren has really surprised him.
  • One-Winged Angel: Devil God Caren and Super Baby Cawen.
  • Rule of Three: Each of Caren's transformations are stated to be three times as powerful as the last. You have the option of pointing out that Mash says as much three times as well.
  • Weirdness Coupon: Deconstructed. All the Servants in Chaldea are so inured to 'Servantverse nonsense' that the villain's bizarre method of kicking off the plot (selling magical chocolate with a paper bag over her head) didn't even raise an eyebrow.
