Dot struggles against Roy. Indira decides to take control of her life.

- Abuse Discretion Shot: Zig-zagged. We see Roy hit Dorothy a couple of times, but when he really starts, the scene cuts to an outside view of the shed they're in.
- Bedroom Adultery Scene: Indira comes home to change for her double shift and finds Lars in bed with his shirt off. Confused, she asks him what he's doing, and opens the closet despite his protests to find a strange, undressed woman.
- Chain Pain: Roy attempts to hit Dot with the chain he's bound her with multiple times; luckily, she dodges.
- Get Out!: Indira tells Lars and his mistress to not be there when she gets home from her second shift.
- Indignant Slap: Dorothy taunts Karen that her presence means Roy doesn't love her, and Karen angrily slaps her.
- Ridiculous Repossession: Downplayed, as Indira has been established to be quite in debt, but she finds her car being towed away without any representative of the bank attempting to negotiate.
- Stealth Pun: When Indira finally gets fed up with her husband she explains all his flaws to him and his mistress in the time it takes for her to get changed for work. She is dressing him down while she dresses herself down.
