After accidentally "powering down" Yo's digital pet cat, Fanboy and Chum Chum bury it in a grave which turns it into a zombie.
Tropes:
- An Aesop: Taking care of someone may be hard, but it's important to be on task.
- Big "NO!": By Chum Chum when he sees Fanboy malevolently overfeeding Scampers late at night. Later by Fanboy when he sees Scampers powered down due to overfeeding.
- Gasshole: A virtual one done by Scampers, twice. The second time, Fanboy complains, "That's a two-beeper!"
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Chum Chum says this after smacking Fanboy with a pillow, causing him to stop overfeeding Scampers, but is too late.
- High-Pressure Emotion: The last hint of Fanboy losing his mind due to Scampers' beeping is steam coming out of him.
- Irony:
- Fanboy tells Chum Chum they can't overfeed Scampers as he could "power down" as a result; yet it's himself who overfeeds him and thus, Scampers "powers down".
- Yo's visiting cousin is allergic to cats, yet Scampers is not a real cat.
- Little "No": Chum Chum says one when he sees Scampers has died as a result of Fanboy's overfeeding.
- Never Say "Die": Not taking care of Scampers causes him to "power down", or in other words, die.
- No One Should Survive That!: Fanboy gets scratched into pieces by Scampers, then comes back fully intact without any harm.
- Oh, Crap!:
- Chum Chum has this twice in a row, first when he wakes up to see Fanboy overfeeding Scampers, followed by another when he sees Scampers has died.
- Fanboy has this reaction upon realizing from Yo that he and Chum Chum turned Scampers into a zombie.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Yo doesn't express her desire for Chum Chum once, possibly because she's too worried to do so.
- Rage Breaking Point: Listening to Scampers' beeping too many times, angers Fanboy to the max, causing him to overfeed him to death.
- Shout-Out:
- The title is similar to Pet Sematary.
- At one point, Scampers bursts through the door and meows, "HEEEERE'S SCAMPERS!".
- The Yamagutchi pets are similar to the Tamagotchi toys.
- The Smurfette Principle: Yo is the only female to appear in the episode.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Yo gives one when she finds out Scampers turned into a zombie thanks to the boys.
