Nick and Mallory start to have second thoughts while waiting for their marriage ceremony to commence.
Examples:
- Big "NO!", Big "YES!": Steven uses both of these when Jennifer tells him about Mallory and Nick's elopement.
- Comically Missing the Point: Mallory comments on how Mike and Erin are marrying despite having only known each other since "last Tuesday":Mallory: Wow. That's not very long, is it?Erin: Well, we met early in the day.
- Elopement: Nick and Mallory leave in the early hours of the morning to elope.
- Fourth-Date Marriage: Mike and Erin, the couple that Nick and Mallory meet, are eloping despite only knowing each other for a few days.
- Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: When the Justice of the Peace asks for objections about the couple marrying before Nick and Mallory, Alex barges in and demands the marriage be stopped. This is until he realises he's interrupted the wrong wedding. Played for Laughs as the couple has second thoughts and decides to call off their wedding.Erin: You know what? We could go out for a while before we get married. Maybe we won't like each other!
- That Was Not a Dream: Alex has to inform Jennifer that she didn't dream seeing Nick at her window. Later Played for Laughs when Steven and Elyse work this out by comparing their 'dream' visions of Nick:Steven: Was he wearing a tie in your dream?Elyse: Yes, he was.Steven: A blue tie?
