Alex manages to land himself a new job as a bank intern, though he runs into some issues when he discovers his boss is a woman named Rebecca Ryan.
Examples:
- Bear Hug: Alex literally leaps into Steven’s arms with joy and hugs him after he’s successful at his job interview, much to Steven’s surprise.
- Dude, Not Funny!: Alex submits two reports during the episode. Mr Heaney receives the well-written and professional report, whereas Rebecca Ryan receives report that contains gibberish. She pulls him up on this behaviour and makes him resubmit his report 'in English'.
- Forceful Kiss: Alex, after misinterpreting Rebecca’s intentions as flirtatious.
- He-Man Woman Hater: Alex takes it up to eleven in this episode. Initially, he calls Rebecca ‘doll’ and demands her to make him coffee - at least, until he finds out she’s his boss. Once he's hired, he continues to drop flirtatious remarks, is openly disrespectful of her authority and goes so far as to submit a gibberish financial report to her. It’s not until Rebecca pulls him into her office and lectures how sexist his behaviour is that he really starts to take notice.
- Ironic Echo: Before finding out Rebecca's position, Alex comments that she should smile more and show some teeth. Rebecca later repeats this to Alex
- Money Fetish: Rebecca and Alex bond over their obsession for money itself, including the smell and texture of bills.
- New Job Episode: Alex starts his first proper job in a bank. Unsurprisingly, he is ecstatic about it.
- Oh, Crap!: Alex immediately realises after forcing a kiss on Rebecca what a terrible idea it was.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Lampshaded by Steven after Alex envelopes him in an enthusiastic hug:Steven: Either you got that bank job, or Richard Nixon has re-entered politics.
