After Chris has a meltdown and destroys an arcade game at the annual Italian street festival, Peter tries to help him find a physical release for his frustration, leading to Chris joining the high school baseball team after it's discovered he has a powerful throwing arm. Meanwhile, Brian and Stewie open an Italian restaurant with their old friend Frank Sinatra Jr.

This episode features examples of these tropes:

  • Alpha Bitch: Cleveland's student guise.
  • Batter Up!: Joe and Cleveland use a baseball bat to beat Chris up.
  • Big Head Mode: The team mascot turns out to have an actual massive, baseball-shaped head, complete with a nasty scar on the side, that's just painted white for the games.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Chris' reaction (albeit in Spanish) when he discovers that Peter wants him to lose the baseball game on purpose.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Chris' Big "WHAT?!" Running Gag was done in Spanish.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Chris (in Spanish no less) responds with Peter's favor enthusiastically until he realizes that he was tasked to throw the match in order to earn money.
  • Foreshadowing: In one of the lines from the Frank Sinatra's Restaurant song, Stewie remarks that "the food's not great, but if you drink enough you won't know!" which just seems like a throwaway glib line, but in the ending, it turns out the only reason they kept getting customers was because Sinatra was comping the meals, and the food really was mediocre at best.
  • Greaser Delinquents: Quagmire's student disguise.
  • Greed: Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe becomes avaricious from the money they win off of Chris' games. While Peter has a Heel Realization about being too greedy, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire don’t and go as far as to beat Chris up to earn off the people who bet on him to win.
  • Heel Realization: Peter realizes how greedy he was by using Chris' baseball skills to earn money.
  • Innocent Bigot: Frank Jr. makes an Anti-Semite comment about Judaism, singing about how his restaurant serves Jews, as if other restaurants don’t serve Jews. The funny part is he doesn’t know how bigoted that was.
  • Italian-American Caricature: One of the activities at the San Gennaro festival is "teach an old Italian lady how to use an iPad." Peter tries, gets frustrated at her stubbornness, brings up how she refuses to move past her son Joey's death, and says she's in denial that Joey was dirty. She storms off to church crying, causing Peter to despondently shout "Ma!" as she leaves.
  • Jerkass: Quagmire, Joe, and Cleveland for mooching off of Chris' pitcher talents and later beating him up to make him lose and earn more money from his loss because too many people will bet on him to win due to his popularity. Unlike Peter, they never have a Heel Realization.
  • Jerkass Ball: Downplayed. Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe are douchebags most of the time, but they are fundamentally good and uphold standards, but here they become a lot more acquisitive on money. Peter ditches the ball at the end but the rest don’t.
  • Jerk Jock: Joe's student disguise.
  • Karma Houdini: While Quagmire is somewhat punished for taking part in breaking Chris' arm, Joe & Cleveland don't receive any punishment for also taking part in the act.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: It was satisfying to see Chris break Quagmire's arm in his misthrow.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe beat Chris up so that he won’t be able to throw properly in the next game.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise. Downplayed. Chris almost recognized Cleveland, Quagmire, and Joe's student disguises, but they beat him to a pulp before he fully realizes that those students are his neighbors.
  • Pipe Pain: Quagmire uses a pipe to beat up Chris.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Cleveland, Joe, and Quagmire misconstrue Peter's comment on Chris having a good arm as a plan to injure his arm so that he will lose. When Peter finds out about this, he's immediately horrified.
  • Sickening "Crunch!": Lampshaded by Cleveland. You can hear the sound of Quagmire's arm breaking when Chris accidentally hits it.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe show no qualms at all with injuring a teenage boy's arm in order to stop him from winning.
