Peter becomes a DJ after he and the guys attempt to start their own podcast. Meanwhile, Brian is forced to move into Stewie's room after Lois gets an allergy.

- Disability Superpower: Defied. Once Peter goes deaf from his DJing, he asks his deaf coworker if his other senses will get better to compensate for the loss of his hearing. She says that they won't, that's a common myth, and it'll be a miracle if he doesn't get run over in the first three months.
- Fun with Alphabet Soup: When Peter goes deaf, Joe tries to have him spell out messages with Alpha-Bits but has already eaten all of the "L"s.
- Italian-American Caricature: Peter complains that Cleveland's rambling monologue on their first podcast episode was worse than an Italian guy describing someone's sexuality. Cut to Peter at a dinner with an Italian-American family where an unnamed man is trying to describe to Peter his brother Louie, while not explicitly referring to him as gay. Peter finally says it, causing the mother to burst into tears. The brother admonishes Peter before trying to plead to his mother that Louie isn't gay, just "creative".
- Plot Allergy: Lois develops an allergy to Brian, forcing Brian to move into Stewie's room, thus kicking off the subplot. Subverted in that Lois wasn't allergic to Brian but instead hay as Peter put hay in their pillows.
- Roommate Drama: Brian has to stay in Stewie's room after Lois suspects she might be developing allergies to him. At first Stewie is thrilled, but soon becomes annoyed at Brian's antics, such as being a slob and inviting strangers over to get high. Stewie retaliates by getting a ferret, as "all the worst roommates have them".
- Sampling: The song Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire play at the club is one for several iconic Family Guy quotes, including "Shut up, Meg.", "SURFIN' BIIIRRRRRRRDDDDD!", "Roadhouse!" and "Oh, that's nasty."
