Go To

Peter and Quagmire form a singing/songwriting team.

Tropes:

  • Body Horror: Kermie Jr, Kermit and Piggie’s child in the Muppet Babies cutaway, is an abomination that’s half pig and half frog.
  • Bowdlerization: The following scenes were either cut completely or altered when aired on TV (and Hulu streaming), but are uncut on DVD:
    • The cutaway of the man ordering a sandwich that's not on two whole loaves of bread: The waitress' line "Tough shit!" had "shit" bleeped out on TV and Hulu.
    • An extended scene of Peter and Quagmire at the bar where Joe pitches his ideas for songs, which are all parody titles changed to reflect the fact that Joe is crippled ("Wheel Like an Egyptian", "Rampway to Heaven", and "Paralyzed by the Dashboard").
    • The sequence where Peter and Quagmire meet Bob Dylan is only shown on DVD.
    • Peter and Quagmire's song about what they would do to a pretty waitress after killing her family: On TV, one of the lyrics is, "We'll sail around the world by ship/I'll give my whole wad as a tip." On DVD, the line goes, "We'll sail around the world by ship/I'll slip her one big purple tip."
    • Peter and Quagmire's song about seeing someone's dad's penis: On TV, one of the lines is, "When he's walking down the hall on Sunday morn/An acorn in a nest of twigs, and underneath two fetal pigs." On DVD, the line goes, "When he's walking down the hall on Sunday morn, an acorn in a bed of hair is all you're gonna see down there."
    • Conan O'Brien's line, "Don't ever fucking talk to me during my time!" has "fucking" bleeped on the TV and streaming version.
    • Lois and the rest of the family sitting around the table for Thanksgiving: on the DVD version, after Lois says, "Happy Thanksgiving," she adds, "Now, everyone hurry up and eat so we can go risk our lives at Walmart." (referring to Black Friday and how chaotic and violent it can get).
  • Driven to Suicide: Played for Laughs at the ending where Peter shoots himself in his tour bus. However, he reappeared in the following episode, alive and well, with no explanation.
  • Evolving Credits: Vinnie has taken Brian’s spot in the opening credits.
  • Only in It for the Money: Both Peter and Quagmire decide to go on a music tour after discussing that Mort wouldn't do much for them. Although this is played sympathetically, it turns out they did the right choice right after Mort comes back to eagerly announce he booked them for a horse's birthday party.
  • Series Continuity Error: In a cutaway where Peter beats up Angela, she's shown to have a normal body in contrast to the grossly out-of-shape one she had in "Baby, You Knock Me Out".
  • Small Role, Big Impact: The bee that spooked Peter and Quagmire basically caused the whole episode to occur.
