After getting banned from Six Flags, the Griffins drive home and end up on a farm run by Amish people. While Meg takes a shine to an Amish boy, Peter's usual brand of cultural ignorance nearly gets everyone in trouble.

- Almost Kiss: Ezekiel intervenes Meg and Eli's relationship right before they kiss.
- Black Comedy Rape: Peter becomes the victim of this, courtesy of the steam from a pie, of all things.
- Dating What Daddy Hates: A male example. Ezekiel STRONGLY disapproves of Meg dating Eli.
- Follow Your Nose: Parodied. In an effort to teach Peter willpower, Quagmire leaves a pie on his windowsill to cool off, and urges Peter not to give in to temptation, no matter how much the pie's scent entices him. It results with the pie's scent raping Peter and forcing Quagmire to watch.
- Forced to Watch: The scent of a pie forces Quagmire to watch it rape Peter.
- I Choose to Stay: Eli chooses to stay home where he belongs, but he still leaves on good terms with Meg.
- If It Tastes Bad, It Must Be Good for You: What happens when Peter eats a rice cake.
- My God, What Have I Done?: After Ezekiel tries to kill Peter, he comes to realize the error of his ways when Eli stops him.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Peter tries to show the Amish village the joys of modern technology. He plays Highway to Hell on a boombox, and Ezekiel immediately declares him a bad influence, refusing to let Meg see his son.
- "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: The DVD version of the episode has a scene where Peter complains how Garfield: His 9 Lives traumatized him, and even shows an actual picture from the book of Garfield about to attack (and presumably kill) an old lady.
- Pet the Dog: Meg's family sympathizes with her when she is forbidden to see Eli. Including Peter.
