Go To

While at a pirate dinner show for Brian's birthday, Peter and Francis discover their inner pirate and start a pirate group. But after raising hell in Quahog and terrorizing the neighbors, it comes back to bite them in the asses when they upset British man Shelly Boothbishop, who kidnaps their wives Lois and Thelma as ransom. Meanwhile, Chris dates the new girl at his school Anna, who also gets kidnapped, and teams up with Peter and Francis to rescue her.The page for the episode can be found here, and the script for the episode can be read here.

This episode contains tropes of:

  • Actionized Adaptation: Compared to the original episode, the episode focuses way more on the pirate action and fights than before.
  • Accidental Kidnapping: Shelly Boothbishop hires Phineas and Barnaby to kidnap Peter and Francis' wives Lois and Thelma after the two, alongside Seamus and Randall Fargus, loot his car full of sugar cane, tobacco, and spices. However, Anna, Chris' girlfriend, gets kidnapped while on a date with Chris, as the bodybuilders think if they kidnap her they'll get a bigger payment.
  • Adaptational Heroism: For how Peter gets Adrianne Beaky. Where Peter in the original steals Adrian - who was assumed to be someone's pet - here Peter buys him when he's on sale at the pirate gift shop.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Whislt Shelly in the original he was more neutral and only attack Peter because he was after his loot, here he hires Phineas and Barnaby to kidnap Lois, Thelma and by accident Anna and held them hostage on his ship for ransom, with the threat of them being deported for slaves! Though this is semi-Justified, as he only did the kidnapping because of Peter's pirate group provoked him and messed up his tea delivery, and it can also be due to a Sanity Slippage.
  • Ageless Birthday Episode: Averted. Brian turns eight years old, after spending the first five and a half seasons being eight.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Peter uses a GPS to get to the dinner show when its clear he doesn't have a clue where to go, which takes the family on a dangerous ride through crocodile and poisonous jellyfish infested lake, a rotting bridge, and a cave where bats try to suck their blood out.
  • Butt-Monkey: Meg as usual. With her getting kicked out of the car on the ride to the dinner show.
  • Jumped at the Call: Seamus, wanting to get back in the saddle and feel like a pirate once again, joins Peter's pirate group without a second thought.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • Peter and Francis get a heap of this when, after breaking onboard Shelly's ship and getting tricked by his robot fakes, get their loot stolen in a Ironic Echo to what they did to Shelly and forced to be saved by Lois and Thelma. For bonus points, the two get punched and a swift groin kick form their less then pleased wives.
[Lois gives Francis a good clock in the jaw]
Francis: Ahh! What was that for?!
Lois: That was for slapping my ass earlier!
[Thelma then proceeds to slap Peter harshly with her purse]
Peter: Oww! And what was that for?
Thelma: That's for mistaking a fake robot for your mother!
[They then switch to their retrospective spouse and kick their groins]
Lois: And that's for making a fool of us in front of the kids!
    • For Peter, Francis, Seamus and Randall as a whole, the group is charged by Mayor West for the damages they caused to the town.
  • Pirate Episode: Like the original episode. However unlike the original, the pirate plot is now expanded to be the A-Plot than a B-Plot.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Of sorts. Meg gives kicked out the car by her family when they find that if they get rid of one member they'll be able to get to the Pirate Voyage Dinner Theater faster, but Meg ironically ends up being unscaved from the hell the family goes through from the GPS.
