The War for Edolas comes to an end as Faust and Nelo Angelo meet their ends, and Mystogan begins his plans to usher in a new era for the magic-less world.

- Dante recalls Vergil's comment on his lack of experience with his Devil Trigger giving him poor stamina, and compares his Combination Attack with Wendy to the one he and Natsu used against his brother.
- Modeus brings up Sparda entrusting him with his will from The Last Promise when explaining how he got his new Super Mode.
- Darkest Hour:
- The Dragon Slayers and Dante are completely tapped out, while Faust in the Dorma Anim is still raring to go, not to mention Nelo Angelo still being active. If not for a Heroic Second Wind they would have been done for.
- For Edolas as a whole, the loss of magic crushes the morale of even the likes of the royal army and Edolas Fairy Tail.
- Death Glare:
- Natsu has enough tenacity fueled rage to scare Nelo Angelo.
- Dante, Modeus, and the Dragon Slayers give him a collective one that breaks through his madness and strikes fear in the mad king for the first time. Special mention for Dante's being juxtaposed with an image of Sparda.
- Death by Adaptation: King Faust is killed in the battle rather than surviving to be exiled.
- Determinator: Natsu flat out ignores his own exhaustion and summons additional power regardless, declaring he'll "borrow power from tomorrow", inspiring his comrades own Heroic Second Wind.
- Drunk with Power: Faust's already loose morals take a swan dive while piloting the Dorma Anim, not even caring that he's absorbing all of the magic in Edolas, crippling his kingdom in the process.
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Lampshaded by Modeus, who notes that despite being made from Sparda's essence, Nelo Angelo find the idea of protecting anything (much less the helpless) utterly baffling, despite that being the source of the Dark Knight's strength.
- Failed State: Edolas is on the brink of this as The Magic Goes Away, the citizens, royal army, and Edolas Fairy Tail all being on the brink of panic or despair.
- Faster Than They Look: The Dorma Anim manages to leap high enough to avoid Fairy Tails Combination Attack, and fast enough that they didn't see it move.
- A God Am I: Faust declares himself a god when the Dorma Anim starts to use all the magic of Edolas.
- Horrifying the Horror: Natsu's rage and determination fueled Heroic Second Wind is accompanied by a Death Glare that visibly frightens Nelo Angelo.
