• Does This Remind You of Anything?: Chris' method of getting elected by lying and exaggerating his promises and the following angry reactions from the student body is directly acknowledged as being reminiscent of actual presidential elections.
• Humiliation Conga: Chris spends the episode being called out for his broken promises, slandered by an overzealous paparazzo, framed for stealing from a restaurant, impeached right after a passionate speech, and had his Cherry Kool-Aid promise happen without his input.
• Intrepid Reporter: Lisa spends the episode obsessively trying to get Chris impeached to sell a juicy news story.
• Rage Breaking Point: Julius can't stand Michael's freeloading off them and wants him gone, but Rochelle protects him until she can get him to leave by promising to make his favorite breakfast food, just for him. So Julius getting home to find Michael still there, and eating the food that Rochelle made for him , he hits his breaking point and throws Michael out in his underwear.
• The Thing That Would Not Leave: Michael gets kicked out of his mother's house and crashes at his sister Rochelle's, and doesn't do anything other than sitting around eating, sleeping, and being a nuisance. Julius has to kick him out in nothing but his underwear when he reaches his Rage Breaking Point.
