An original Christmas Episode which adapts the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer into that particular universe. One Christmas Eve day, the Smurfs discover a red-nosed reindeer out in the forest, and though they initially scare it off, they eventually became friends with it and took it into their village to take care of it. Meanwhile, as Nicholas the toymaker prepares to make his nightly flight to deliver the toys, Chlorhydris the evil witch attempts to make Christmas a dismal day for everyone by casting a pea soup fog spell into the sky so as to make it dangerous for Nicholas to fly his sleigh. Realizing not only the danger presented to the toymaker, but also the red-nosed reindeer's ability to shine through the fog with his nose, Empath delivers the reindeer to Nicholas for him to add to his team of flying reindeer, whom he gives the name Rudolph.
