- Bound and Gagged: Double D and Ed are on the receiving end of this once the kids realize that the trip was a scam.
- Brick Joke: The Eds' first attempt to break a record is riding down a giant chute, but they fall off the back of the platform instead. At the end of the episode, the Eds are trapped in their rocket car as Kevin sends it flying... and it lands right on top of the chute, where they procede to speed down through it as originally intended.
- Dumbass Has a Point: When Double D shows Ed the rocket car prop he built, Ed tells him that it's too small, but he dismisses the concern as it simply being "compact". When the kids all arrive, Ed literally stuffs them all into the rocket car, and Double D realizes that Ed was right and it is too small.
- Guinness Episode: Kevin breaks the record for longest skid mark, inspiring the other kids to break their own records, with Eddy determined to show up Kevin.
- My Little Panzer: Ed's wind-up toy at the start of the episode is capable of chewing through all sorts of materials. Including Eddy's stomach.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Because of Ed, Kevin was able to catch on to the Eds' rocket car scheme.
- Out Of Control Popcorn: The Eds' "rocket car" is set on top of a popcorn popper that makes it vibrate. Kevin puts too much popcorn in the popper, and the resulting explosion of popcorn sends the car, and the Eds trapped inside, flying.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: The effect of traveling around the world is achieved with Ed (and Double D) running in place with costumes, as a literal Wraparound Background runs behind them.
- Sarcasm Mode: Eddy lays it on pretty darn thick when Double D suggests a safer record-setting idea, like knitting.Eddy: Yeah! I can see it now! We'll knit a blanket! A HUGE blanket! Kevin will have to out-knit us!
