The ER staff treats junior high school students who were injured in a bus crash. Carol is accused of dropping a drug-addicted woman's baby. Al has a hard time finding a new job due to his HIV status. Jeanie breaks the rules to help save the life of a man who was injured from falling off a roof. Carter confronts Benton about his distant behavior towards him since leaving surgery. Benton and Carla's baby, Reese is allowed to come home from the hospital. Ross is told by Weaver that he needs to find a grant in order to keep his ER fellowship and clashes with Del Amico over the treatment of a young boy with asthma.
