The boys meet one of Josh's favorite magicians, Henry Doheney, and he starts spending time with them. When he starts to get on Drake's nerves, Josh learns that he has fallen on hard times, so the boys try to help with a magic show to make famous again.
This episode contains tropes of:
- Back from the Dead: Henry does this to himself as a magic trick to bring back his career, which was suggested by Megan.
- Bait the Dog: Walter, who Henry made bald as a magic, asks him to give back his hair. Henry agrees and tells Walter to close his eyes before walking the door and leaving with his lady friends. He then tells Walter to buy a wig.Walter: Mr. Doheny, what about my hair?!
Henry: Buy a wig! - Disproportionate Restitution: Zig-zagged. Because she gave him the main idea that would give him a comeback, Henry gives Megan a check for $50,000. However, because Drake and Josh were the main players in Henry's trick, he gives each of the boys yo-yos.
- Foreshadowing: When Henry arrives at the house he gives Megan a rabbit named Cookie, then he insists she keep the rabbit when Megan asks him. While it seems Henry was just being nice, it gives the first hint he's fallen on hard times and he's giving Cookie to someone who will take of her.
- How Did That Get in There?: After Doheney makes Drake's date at the The Premiere, Lexi, disappear with one of his magic tricks, he and Josh find her inside the popcorn machine. She then gets freaked out and asks how got in there.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Doheney's first trick at his comeback show has him lie in a box, as Drake and Josh thrust swords through his body, followed by him magically appearing out of the box unharmed. It doesn't work and apparently kills him...or so they think.
- Pick a Card: Henry has Drake play with the card. After he puts the card back in the deck, he ends coughing up the card he choose, with it being folded.
