Director Wong informs the riders that if they don't find a way to stop Jörmungandr, she is forced to shut down and evacuate Rakke Town. Afterwards, Alex gets a notification that Jörmungandr attacked the King's Realm. When they arrive there, Thunder's parents and the Night Light's Alpha are badly wounded but managed to fight off Jörmungandr. Knowing it will be back, Tom decides to build a new cage for it in a cave in the King's Realm. He and Jun set out to gather the materials while the rest watch the Night Lights. With some difficulties, they succeed in building a new gate. Suddendly, Alex' sensors go off. Not in the King's Realm but in the God's Realm reveiling Jörmungandr tricked them.
Tropes in this episode include:
- All Myths Are True: Jun suggests the prophecy of Ragnarok from Norse Mythology is about the Hidden World with Thunder being Thor.
- Batman Gambit: Jörmungandr attacked the Night Lights knowing the riders would stay and protect them. This gave the Apex Predator the opportunity to attack the God's Realm without interference.
- Best Friend: Alex and Eugene reveal to each other that they consider the other their best non-dragon friend.
- The Bus Came Back: After being dragged off by Jörmungandr in the Season 7 finale, the Sky Torcher returns.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: The Sky Torcher is covered with scars and bite marks from its Curb-Stomp Battle with Jörmungandr.
- Horrifying the Horror: After Jörmungandr invaded its territory, the Glass Caster, a usually extremely territorial and dangerous dragon, has become so frightened, it cowers before the riders when they enter his territory.
- Out-Gambitted: Following Jörmungandr's attack on the Night Lights, Tom prepared a trap being sure it would return to finish the job. However, it turned out Jörmungandr knew they would stay and protect the Night Lights thus allowing him to reach the God's Realm unopposed.
