Airdate: September 7, 1999

Max and Emmy attend a beach party with their dragon friends, but Ord's inability to share his new dragonberry cupcake causes them all to end up in an unknown place called Kingdom Come, where they are unable to leave. When they find out the kingdom's guard is also selfish, they must teach the two to share so they can get home in time.

"To Kingdom Come" provides examples of:

  • Beach Episode: The kids and dragons have a beach party which gets jeopardized by Ord.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Ord wishes he could be at a place where he wouldn't have to share his shell. He gets what he asks for...but now he's trapped.
  • Book Ends: The story begins with Ord refusing to share his dragonberry cupcake with Max. Towards the end, after learning to share, Ord decides that instead of eating his roasted marshmallows himself, he offers everyone else some.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: As lampshaded by Emmy, Ord's refusal to share the wish shell is what gets the gang trapped in Kingdom Come.
Emmy: If you'd shared the wish shell in the first place, Ord, we definitely wouldn't be in this mess!
  • Didn't Think This Through: After Ord gets worried about being away from his friends, he wishes for them to be there with him. Zak then proceeds to question why he didn't just wish himself back to where they were instead of bringing them there to be trapped with him.
  • Exact Words: Crossed with Exactly What It Says on the Tin — you can only come to Kingdom Come, but you can't leave from there.
  • Irony: It's one thing for Ord to be stuck in Kingdom Come because he made a selfish wish to be somewhere he wouldn't have to share his dragonberry cupcake or wish shell with anyone. As it turns out, Monsieur Marmadune who tends to Kingdom Come has always wanted a dragonberry cupcake. To be fair, though, Marmadune didn't know he had a dragonberry cupcake, so Ord wouldn't have to share either way.
  • It's All My Fault: Ord says this word for word when he and his friends are trapped in Kingdom Come.
  • Just Eat Gilligan: Averted. The viewer might be asking why they don't just fly out or wish their way out, both points that the episode addresses. The clouds above the castle are too thick to fly through, and Ord already used up all three of his wishes by the time he thought to wish his way out.
    • And while it's apparent Max and Emmy could try using the chant that wishes them back to their room, they don't want to abandon their friends to their fates.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Normally, Wheezie is the goofy and cheery one of the group, and is sometimes at odds with her brother. When Ord asks if everybody's mad at him, Wheezie agrees with her brother with a sober "Can't say I'm happy, nope!".
  • Take a Third Option: Part of Ord's dilemma is he's afraid he'll have to either part with the entire dragonberry cupcake with the selfish Monsieur Marmadune, or eat it all himself and ruin their only chance to bargain for the key out of Kingdom Come. A solution begins to take form when his friends suggest he can meet Monsieur Marmadune halfway and give him half his dragonberry cupcake instead.
  • Three Wishes: The Wish Shell only grants three wishes for whoever finds it, and after that, it crumbles into pieces.
  • Wasteful Wishing: Ord thoughtlessly makes a wish as he holds the wish shell: wishing for a hat like Max's, to be some place where he doesn't have to share the shell, and bringing his friends to be trapped with him in Kingdom Come instead of wishing to be back at the beach.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Emmy, Max, Zak, Wheezie, and Cassie all make it clear that they're extremely upset with Ord for selfishly refusing to share the wish shell, then wishing them to Kingdom Come and using the shell up, stranding them in the kingdom. While Cassie is more polite and quiet when expressing her sadness, she does join the others in giving Death Glares at Ord into making him share with Monsieur Marmadune in order to get the key out.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: When Ord offers to share his dragonberry cupcake with the guard of Kingdom Come, said-guard is elated! Until a reluctant Ord only gives him but a small crumb of the giant cupcake. To this, the unimpressed guard rhetorically drones "This is sharing?"

Cassie has brought her pet Caterpoozle, Poozie, while the gang is playing in Mushroom Meadow. When Cassie temporarily leaves Poozie and finds her wrapped in something white, she believes Poozie's dead and the others have to find her a new pet, but little does she know, Poozie is really undergoing a transformation.

"Goodbye Little Caterpoozle" provides examples of:

  • A Lizard Named "Liz": A Caterpoozle named Poozy.
  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: Not actual death, but when Poozy is revealed to still be alive, her shell opens to reveal her new Butterfairy form.
  • Metamorphosis: Poozy wasn't dying; she was in a cocoon transforming into a Butterfairy.
  • Mistaken for Dying: What Cassie assumed happened to Poozy.
  • Never Say "Die": Averted; Cassie actually says the word "dead".
  • Put on a Bus: The only other episode Poozy is seen in is "Stormy Weather". She's never seen again.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Cassie sees Poozy deep asleep in a white shell and assumes she's dead; in reality, she's transforming into a Butterfairy and is perfectly fine.
  • Sapient Pet: While it's unclarified if Poozy is sapient in the form of a caterpoozle, she certainly is as a butterfairy.
